Though situated within the rolling countryside of Western Granada, Alhama de Granada is perched on the edge of deep ravine above the Rio Alhama. The town of Alhama de Granada is renowned for it's thermal water springs which have been channeled into spa baths since Roman times. During the summer months, visitors to Alhama de Granada may visit the town's Muslim horse shoe spas.

At other times of the year visitors may take a short walk into the woodland, just a short distance from the centre of Alhama de Granada, in order to visit and sample the natural hot water springs and pool which are open to the public all year round.

Though Alhama de Granada is just a short drive from our short break accommodations guests may choose to spend the day exploring the southern area of Western Granada and combine a visit to Alhama de Granada with a visit Los Bermejales.
